After the enormous success of lefty British MP George Galloway's Viva Palestina convoy, which delivered 200 truckloads of aid overland from Britain to Gaza, Galloway challenged US activists to do the same.
Well, US antiwar activist Ron Kovic (yes, the guy from Born on the Fourth of July) took up the challenge, and launched Viva Palestina USA. The organizers' ambitious goal is to deliver 500 trucks full of up to $10 million in aid, leaving--when else?--on the 4th of July.
You can sign up for email alerts on the Viva Palestina USA website, and they also have a Facebook group.
